Happy Halloween Eve! Today I’m spilling the details on a few of my favorite petite approved brands. I don’t know how many of you actually know this but I’m 5’1″ so yes, angles really are everything. I mentioned on Instagram a few weeks ago that I wanted to talk more about petite approved clothing and to my surprise, so many of you reached out saying that finding petite approved clothes was something you had a hard time finding too. I’ve always just had my “go to” brands that ran small and my tips on which pieces are and aren’t worth alterations and so many more petite tricks that I never really thought about sharing until now. Today I’m going to start by sharing my favorite petite approved brands but I’ll be sharing more of my petite tips and tricks in the future so more to come on that.

Even if you aren’t petite this will really help everyone get a better idea of sizing and how different brands fit. For example, I ordered a skirt the other week and it fit perfectly! It was the perfect length which never happens on my 5’1” frame and is great (for me) but also means that if you’re 5’5” or taller… you might be showing more than you might like and would want to size up for length. Overall it’ll just help everyone get a better idea of sizing before ordering something.  I got a few messages about plus size and tall sizes which made me realize how many people are having this “I can’t find anything that fits” struggle. Some of my petite approved brands also carry plus size and tall sizes which I made note of below.

Petite Approved Brands:

Showpo – My latest obsession. I’ve been wearing a size 0 in tops and bottoms. Some of their tops start at a size 2 and still fit perfectly though so I feel like if you’re an xs in tops, you should be fine with a size 2 top if they don’t have a 0. I ordered bottoms in a size 2 but those did not fit. To my gorgeous plus size ladies – Showpo goes up to size 16! They also show how the clothes look on a side by side image of both petite and plus size girls which I think is really cool. It also shows that their clothes are super cute and literally look good on everyone.

Pretty Little Thing – I’ve been shopping from PLT for a while and they have a lot of inexpensive, trendy pieces that tend to fit well. They carry petites, tall and plus size. Not everything they carry comes in petite though but to be honest with you, they tend to run small anyways so the non-petite sizes should be fine.

Revolve – I shop on Revolve a lot and most of their brands fit pretty well! I’m usually an xxs in their brands or whatever the smallest size is. A few of my favorite petite approved brands of theirs are:

  • Michael Costello– perfect for cocktail parties , weddings and will fit like a glove. This is my first go-to if I have an event that I need a cocktail dress for and I don’t have time to order a million things and return what doesn’t fit.
  • LPA – a mix of great classic daytime pieces and statement evening pieces
  • h.ours – great going out clothes and party dresses that fit really well
  • Tularosa – great sweaters, sets, jackets, etc
  • Bec & Bridge –  Beautiful cocktail and wedding guest dresses

Asos Petite – Has some great pieces to style off of and is reasonably prices. Asos also carries tall, curvy & plus size and maternity.

Urban Outfitters – tends to run small and is a good combination of staple and trend pieces.

Ok so time to get shopping?! If I find any new petite approved brands I’ll be sure to let yall know and update it on the list. Let me know if any of you have amazing petite brands that I haven’t discovered yet so I can check them out. I hope this helps!
