The Nordstrom Sale: What to skip and what’s worth it

I feel like there has been a lot of debate around the Nordstrom Sale this year. I wanted to make sure that if I decided to cover it that it was in a way that made sense or I wouldn’t cover it at all. This year I started off by browsing the site and seeing which items were on sale that I use on a regularly basis. A bunch of these prodcuts were in the beauty categoty. Sharing items I already use all the time seemed like a no brainer because if I’ve talked about them multiple times before why would I not tell yall when they are on sale? It seemed weird not to.

So what are these go-to beauty products anyways?

The NuFace: If you watch my IG stories, you know I use this all the time. I do have to tell you that the mini version isn’t on sale but is still less than the sale price of the larger version. The only difference is that with the mini you can’t add attachments in the future. I think I have the mini and honestly I haven’t seen the need to add attachments.

Le Labo Set: Another item I use all the time is my Le Labo set. The Le Labo sample set is also on sale and is something I would highly recommend. I ordered the smaller samples about 6 months ago and it’s the perfect way to try out a bunch of different Le Labo scents until you find your favorite to invest in. They last for a really long time too so I would definitely get this before splurging on a big bottle.

La Mer Moisturizing Cream: Honestly I’ve never used this before and I knew it was expensive but had no idea it was $1500 expensive… if you don’t believe me here’s the link. It is on sale through for a few hundred dollars less if you’re hooked and I just don’t know how good it is yet because I haven’t tried it. This made me wonder though how good is this stuff that people are spending $1500 on cream? Luckily I did find a starter set for $90. Honestly I might order this because I’ve been hearing about La Mer for years and I would rather try it out at $90 before investing more than that.  Has anyone used this before? I’m interested in hearing your thoughts.

Other things that I own and use all the time that are worth it:

BareFoot Dreams Blanket : I got mine in a gift bag years ago and I didn’t understand the hype until I used it. It is so warm and cozy and you just won’t get it until you try it. There are two versions on sale at Nordstorm. This one and this one but I also found one on Amazon  for less than the NSale ones. It might be an older style though but it’s about $20 less.

Navy and white trimmed PJ set also here: I got so many questions on the monogrammed PJ set I wore in this pic. Mine is from Equipment and I love it but it’s a splurge for sure. If you want the same look I would definitely recommend this Nordstrom set because it’s sooo much less. There aren’t a lot of sizes yet but they do have more options in the pants version. I honestly only sleep in the top for a more oversized dress look so if you love this and do the same I would check this one out too. You can always take it somewhere to get monogrammed too.

Oh there’s also an entire Kopari set on sale. I talk about how much I love the coconut melt here. In the process of going through these things though I of course got distracted and came across other items that were too good not to share. I am a little disappointed with the women’s clothing and shoes but the best deals are in beauty and mens. This weekend I did a scouting mission to see these items in person. The men’s sale is honestly pretty good – my top item would probably be these white sneakers. White sneakers are really having a moment right now and I thought these looked great in person. Honestly I feel like guys are lucky in the sense that they only need a few staple investment pieces and they are good to go. All of the mens items I listed below are fuss free, stylish but still look comfortable.

My normal rule with sales like this is to invest in jeans, shoes and jackets but honestly this year that’s not the case. I would take this time to get some beauty items though. Next suggestion would be to check out the luggage/home items if you need it. If not though, I would just wait. Men’s definitely has some good pieces that could update an entire fall wardrobe. There are a lot of littles running around and the fact I recognized this stroller and know nothing about babies is telling of that so I added a few baby items for gift ideas, etc. I hope the post is set up in a way that’s easy to shop the Nordstrom Sale! I would love to get your feedback on your sale finds and if you like this layout. Happy Shopping!
