Revolve Festival: Here’s the scoop

We’re back from Palm Springs! I had such a great time at Revolve Festival and I wanted to recap my weekend but with a twist. Today I’m sharing how I pick out my looks and what it’s really like when you’re there.

I absolutely love Revolve and I was so happy to be working with them again this year. I purchase their clothes all the time and have for years so it’s such an organic partnership for me. I’m a huge fan of how seamless their shipping and return process is too. I don’t like saying “this isn’t sponsored” because that shouldn’t matter if you’re being transparent and covering things you love. But for the record, I’m not obligated to do this recap post. I just thought it would be fun to share with you my Revolve Festival experinece.

So what happens at Revolve Festival anyways?

This year they really took things to the next level! From merry-go-rounds to cotton candy, they had it covered. Revolve Festival was basically a mini festival with different performers including Cardi B which I missed because I left early… I learned a valuable lesson to never leave Revolve Festival early. Most of the performers went on in the afternoon but they had activities during the day like touch ups, carnival swings, food trucks (yes In-N-Out was there). Oh and La Croix was there too so you know I was excited! They also had really cute merch. I didn’t wait in line for the Revolve merch but I did get some really cute Superdown stuff.

What’s the deal with the activations?

I don’t know how many of you know this but I’ve done marketing for events and music festivals in the past and I can’t even tell you the amount of work that must have gone into Revolve Festival.  My marketing side is going to come out for a second so bear with me. All of the vendors/ sponsors of Revolve Festival aligned really well with the event. People were interacting with the activations organically which is always a sign of a successful integration. They covered a wide range of categories from La Croix, matcha, Vital Proteins but also had Jaja tequila and other alcohol brands. They also had beauty brands like Benefit, Cuvée, NuFace and more. Basically every category you could think of was accounted for but executed in a natural way.

Photo opps?

Revolve always sets up organic photo opportunities that are just too good to pass up like the flower “wall” which wasn’t even a wall but more of a bed of flowers. The merry-go-round and swings were also ideal for photos too and honestly really fun.

How do I pick my outfits?

Ok first things first, here’s the link to everything I picked so you know what I’m referring to. When I’m selecting my looks for Revolve Festival I try to find things that will fit well (or can be easily altered) and work with my personal style. Most of the time, multiple girls will be wearing the same thing so I try to put my own twist on it. I actually really love seeing how different people style the same pieces. I think this helps give other people ideas on how to wear something different ways too.

The first day I wore the blue set and it was love at first sight. The second I saw it online I knew that it was so me. It’s something I would totally wear and this weekend was the place to wear it. The blue set was super comfortable and overall I really liked the fit. The only two things I would recommend would hemming the pants if you’re on the shorter side and to size up if you have bigger boobs. This set looked really good on a lot of people though which is really telling! Also if the fit wasn’t good, the whole look wouldn’t work.

My second look was the lace up pink dress and I knew that if the dress fit well that it would be perfect with the right accessories. I decided to add the crystal sunglasses and white cowboy boots which was a fun way to spice up the look. These aren’t the exact sunglasses I’m wearing but they look pretty similar. I wore the Louis Vuitton backpack from Tradesy all weekend because it worked with everything and I was able to be hands free.

The pink dress and blue set ended up being my “main festival looks” but I try to pick out a few staple pieces like denim shorts and tops that I can get a lot of wear out of. Honestly I think my favorite top from this list is the pink Privacy Please top followed by the black Superdown top. These are my favorite because they just fit the best on me but honestly I love all of them (I picked them out).  I also picked out a super cute bathing suit too which fits so well. The suit is high-waisted but works if you’re shorter because of the lace up section in the front. Another piece that I loved is the pink shoulder bag. It’s such a great bag for summer that’s really lightweight.
