Brunch is debatably the most important meal of the day so today I’m sharing my top 3 favorite brunch spots in LA. While I don’t recommend milkshakes for breakfast on the reg- there are some staples you just have to go to.

1. THE CABANA CAFE AT THE BEVERLY HILLS HOTEL

This is hands down my favorite brunch place in LA. Don’t get me wrong I love the Polo Lounge but for brunch it’s all about Cabana Cafe. It’s right next to the pool and it’s so adorable. Everything is pink and white striped with banana leaves and cute straws and it’s just perfect. It’s chill but not really… I always get the crab cake benedict with salmon. They also have this blended coffee drink that I can’t get enough of.

2. MASTRO’S MALIBU:

I love having brunch at Mastro’s in Malibu. It’s such a pretty location that I feel like get’s missed a lot at dinner because it’s dark and you can’t see the water. The restaurant is right on the water and has full windows so the view is ideal. It’s a little more on the dressier side but it’s amazing. The bloody mary is to die for, you can still get the bread basket that they serve at dinner too (it’s the best bread basket in LA – you’ll think I’m crazy until you try it. Then you will totally get it). I get the crab cake benedict (are we seeing a pattern?) but they’re dinner menu which includes sushi is also available during brunch as well if you want to really shake it up.

3. MEL’S DINER:

All of these photos were taken at Mel’s Diner so you can see how cute the decor is. Since we were shooting, I didn’t get to sit down and have brunch to be able to honestly review it food wise but the atmosphere was perfect and the milkshake was good! Also everyone that worked there was super friendly. I would definitely go back and actually eat. If you live in LA though, Mel’s Diner is such a staple. But of course – in typical LA fashion, they have juice and avocado toast as well. It looks like an old school diner but in a very cool way. So to Mel’s Diner – see you next time!

TAVERN

Ok I’m indecisive and 3 sounded better than 4 but I couldn’t leave Tavern off of the list. I go here and embarrassing amount of times and always get the avocado toast with no prosciutto. It comes with a soft-boiled egg and burrata so it’s to die for. The best part about Tavern is that there is a casual section called The Larder where you can throw on clothes and sunglasses and go. You order at the counter and then find a table so it’s a more chill vibe. Tavern also has a sit down section that’s part of the actual restaurant that looks like a super chic greenhouse. It has the best natural lighting, trees and the ceiling it somehow open so it kind of feels like you’re outside but not really. It’s a great spot to catch up with friends.

Does anyone else have the same top 3 favorite brunch spots in LA as well? I would love to hear some of your favorites below.
