I wore this two-piece metallic set twice during fashion week and it is the perfect day-to night look.  You know it’s a good one if I wore it twice let alone during fashion week! This metallic set was perfect for going to shows and meetings during the day and also a great look for the Philipp Plein show at night.  Find out how I took this look from day-to-night look below.

Daytime Look:

It was so cold in New York the day that I wore this so I had to change-up my original look a little bit and add layers. I actually wore tights under the pants because I was freezing but luckily you couldn’t tell. I layed with tights multiple times that week and it was super helpful! I layered a tight black turtleneck under the blazer which was a really good addition because it kept me a lot warmer and I didn’t have to worry about the blazer being too open or flashing anyone in broad daylight. I finished off the look with this jacket from Revolve. Oh my gosh it is so soft! I don’t even know how to describe it other than it’s the coziest jacket of all time. The color played off of the shades in the metallic suit perfectly. I wore it with these earrings that had a similar pattern to the pattern of the set. I wore my round, reflective sunglasses with this to play off of the metallic elements. These have been sold out everywhere and I’ve been having the hardest time finding a similar pair but I finally found them and linked to them here! Since there was a decent amount going on already, I decided to go a little more classic with the bag and shoes. I kept it simple with my suede Gucci and a block ankle boot.

Nighttime Look:

I originally picked out this set for an evening look. When I got the invite to the Philipp Plein show I knew it was perfect! I wore the blazer with a black lace bralette underneath. The blazer is actually long but I felt like it looked better tucked into the pants for this. I would definitely restyle this blazer and leave it long and open with jeans for a totally different look. Ok so back to the evening look – it was downpouring the night of the show so I had to improvise with the jacket and shoe selection. I wore this with patent leather ankle boots and a leather jacket. It worked out perfectly and was a super cool look but I would have also worn it with strappy heels and a faux fur.

I haven’t done this yet but you can definitely style this metallic set separately too. For example the pants would be so cute with a crop and strappy heels in Miami (ugh why didn’t I think of that last week when I was there?) and the blazer would be so cute with jeans or a skirt. There are a lot of options here. I was also a little worried that the pants would be too big but they’re a drawstring which I love because then you can make them as tight and cinched or as loose as you want.

I recently shared my NYFW roundup video so definitely check that out if you haven’t already! I would love to hear what you think!
