Real Life

Real life

So I was looking at my IG feed today and I was thinking wow it looks like I’ve been having the time of my life lately! From Cabo to my staycation this past weekend… it looks super relaxing. Well, that’s not quite what real life has been like. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been blessed with a lot of things over the past few weeks but it hasn’t been the cake walk that my IG feed makes it look like haha. For example: I’ve been posting so many bathing suit pics lately because it’s way easier for me to float in the pool on a fractured ankle and not because I’m in the mood to post a bunch of bikini pics.

It’s been a hard few weeks with a car accident and a sprained now fractured ankle, wearing a boot for 4-6 weeks, missing Miami Swim Week, possible kidney stone etc. But realistically, the wreck could have been way worse and I actually got lucky. I should be grateful to have the proper doctors and amazing boyfriend to carry me through LAX (yes, even up the stairs to board the airplane) and family to go to Whole Foods with me because I can’t carry anything (ugh those baskets don’t work with crutches). Last but not least, I should be appreciative to all of the brands that invited me to their shows and hey, at least I’ll make it to New York Fashion Week (my favorite time of year).

This post isn’t about me though and my last few weeks. I’m crutching my way to killer abs and the 4-6 weeks will fly by. I want to make sure someone who is going through a hard time isn’t looking at Instagram thinking things they are exactly as they seem. This post is to let all of you know that we allll run into rough patches and everyone has ups and downs. I always say that for as hard as it is now it willl just be that much better later.

I’m going to try to share more “real life” post on IG/ especially instastories. Hopefully this will give yall a little more insight into real life and when things get hard sometimes you just need to laugh and make the most of it. Like when my boyfriend pushed me through LAX on a luggage cart while also rolling my 50 pound suitcase because finding a wheel chair was next to impossible.

Because I can’t be all Kumbaya for the entire post shop my look below. You can rent this top on Haute & Borrowed and I’ve linked to similar ones below
