The Hermes Oran look-alike sandals I posted on my Instastories a few weeks ago definitely seemed to be a hit so I wanted to be sure to elaborate on why I decided to get them. I’ve always talked about the importance of investment pieces and having a few classic, luxury staples in your wardrobe. One of my biggest pieces of fashion advice is to spend on timeless, classic items but save on pieces that are “trend” pieces that probably won’t last for more than one season.

I’ll not usually a fan of look alike designer pieces because I really do appreciate the time and craft of the designs and don’t want to take away from that. I do think a pair of sandals is a totally different story than a handbag though. I can honestly tell you that I don’t have another look alike piece in my wardrobe other than these Hermes Oran look-alike sandals. So why did I make an exception for these sandals you might ask?

I’ve had my eye on these Hermes Oran sandals since the 5 Shoes of Spring post here. As you all know I unfortunately still can’t walk in heels so flats have been a new thing for me lately. To be honest with you, I also don’t know how long these Hermes Oran sandals will be around for! I could be totally wrong and these could be the next staple though but until I’m sure that they won’t be old news next season, I’m going to save the $870. I was on the hunt to find an Hermes Oran look-alike that was high quality without the price tag. I found this pair on Etsy and they are actually handmade in Greece which I thought was super cool! They also come in a bunch of different colors. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I received them but I honestly love them. They look pretty similar to the actual Hermes Oran sandals too.

I wore the Hermes Oran look-alike sandals with this amazing mint green dress by Kookai. I’ve been really fed up with having to get clothes altered. I kid you not my alterations place quoted me $600 last week and I almost fell over. Needless to say, I was so excited when I slipped on this Kookai dress and it fit perfectly! No alterations or additonal cost needed. Another brand that I would recommend if you’re petite is Pretty Little Thing. I just got a bunch of stuff from them last night and almost everything fit which is so rare.

So what do you think of these Hermes Oran look-alike sandals? I’ll be wearing them (or at least the right foot) on my trip!
