Pumps and Roses

From white on white to denim on denim, the monochromatic trend seems to be back in a more classic way. I will try to refrain from getting into the denim on denim trend until another post. So for now, it’s all about white on white. White on white is kind of the new black if there was ever such a thing. The key to mastering this is to dress for the occasion.

I wore the outfit above to a Memorial Day party. We were outside a lot so the cuffed up jeans were perfect. Yes, while my belly button does make a brief appearance, this was an exception to the rule. Memorial Day, much like Fourth of July (depending on what you’re doing) tends to have a more relaxed and fun vibe. In this case an occasional visible belly button wasn’t committing a Kiki fashion sin. The loose fitting top was a good balance to the cropped length and the straight legged jeans. The ballet slipper pink pumps dressed up the outfit effortlessly with just a pair of shoes. The shoes can definitely make or break a white on white outfit. Proceed with caution and accessorize accordingly.

Fierce Girl! Loving it. I think it’s fine to let the belly button make a brief appearance, if you got it flaunt it, right?! Love the white on white, super chic and crisp!
