A Little Bit of Rock and Roll!

I have been so MIA on the blog for the past few weeks! I’ve been caught up in decorating so be on the look out for a home decor post in the next few weeks!

In the mean time, it seems as though fall has snuck up on us. Even though the first day of fall isn’t officially until the 22nd and it is no where near fall in California, it’s time to slowly start transitioning into more fall-like pieces.

So this shoot was so much fun! We put Jet on Pandora and it was the perfect for feel of this outfit. My style definitely fluctuates from classic to trendy and more edgy and that’s OK! I feel like so many people think they have to be one or the other and that is no where near the case! It is so important to wear what makes you feel good (or what makes you feel like a rock star).

This is a great transitional look for when it’s not quite cool enough for full on fall sweaters but not quite hot enough for jacket free summers. I love this outfit because it is so easy and fun to dress up a pair of denim cut offs.

I went with more of an edgy look by pairing the cut offs with a leather jacket and black tank. I really love ankle strap heels right now, they create a fresh look without being to chunky or overbearing. (Warning: I am pretty good at walking in heels. I can run in heels better than I can run in flats but these heels are extremely dangerous. They are definitely sitting shoes).

(Yes, I almost fell over multiple times trying to get the perfect hair shake picture).
While this look is definitely really rock and roll/edgy, I wore my David Yurman earrings for a little bit of bling. I really like the contrast of the ankle strap heels and the David Yurman earrings with the black tank and leather jacket.
