Flirty Florals and Vintage Chanel

This was one of my favorite shoots to do. It was so much fun. Lately, I’ve been really interested in different ways to dress up a pair of denim cut offs. I love this Like Mynded Tie Front Cover- Up from Nordstrom. I originally bought it to wear as a cover-up but the colors played perfectly off of the pale pink Nordstrom tank that I had to break it out.
I paired this look with vintage Chanel earrings from LXR & Co. I love how the earrings are so simply amazing. I mean it’s Chanel, would you expect anything less? But there is something about the simplicity of the gold and the vintage style that I found to be perfect for this look. It went along with the less is more when done right vibe this outfit gives off.

Lessons by Kiki: “Less is More, When Done Right”
If you’re looking to dress up this look, pair these cut off (cut by Kiki) shorts from forever 21 with a chunky heel that’s not too high that you look ridiculous and not too low that you look like you’re playing dress up in your mom’s closet.

The light pink tank from Nordstrom is a great canvas piece that can easily be dressed up or dressed down. In this case, I decided to dress it up a little with my meant to be cover up.
I actually bought the cover-up specifically for Hawaii and ended up breaking it out before hand, go figure.

This look is so laid-back California and perfect for a summer day. I love outfits where no one can say you’re too dressed up because hey you’re just in denim shorts and a top right? When in reality you look fabulous and like you dressed up. I feel like everyone should have at least 3 or 4 “secret weapon” daytime outfits in their wardrobe. A “secret weapon” daytime outfit is an outfit that’s casually fabulous for one of those situations where you want to look fabulous but do not want to come across way too over dressed in the wrong environment.
